In the Midlands, this early 1900s 2-bedroom historic cottage stood as a reminder of the region’s rich history — but years of neglect had left it uninhabitable. PellCo Construction was brought in as part of a larger effort to restore and protect these culturally significant homes, many of which tell the story of resilience and heritage in the South. From the moment we stepped inside, we could see the potential hidden beneath the damage.
Our approach blended modern livability with historic preservation. The interior was completely reimagined, replacing damaged materials with durable, timeless finishes that kept the character of the home intact. With its fresh, simple aesthetic and thoughtful updates, this restored cottage now stands as a comfortable, functional space — and a proud continuation of its historic legacy.
